Get Cash or Store Credit for Your Vinyl and CD Collection

Glitter Records offers cash based on approximately 30% of our evaluation of the item's fair market value or 50% of fair market value in store credit, whichever best meets your preferences. All offers are based on the titles, quantity, and condition of your items.

Please note that we do not accept items below VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition. This applies to records, CDs, cassettes, and all formats. VG+ indicates that the item is well cared for, with only minor imperfections that do not significantly affect playback or overall quality. Our VG+ rating is adapted from industry standards and are objective measures of item condition.

While we will try our best to meet your needs, we reserve the right to refuse to buy any items.

More On Glitter Records Grading and Valuation System

At Glitter Records, we love music and strive to offer the best quality recordings. Here is how we check and price our records.

Grading Scale and Value Percentages

At Glitter Records, we use a comprehensive grading system to assess the condition of sound recordings, ensuring that the evaluations are objective and fair. Our grading scale, which ranges from Mint (M) to Poor (P), is based on specific criteria reflecting the physical condition and playability of each item and its cover.

To establish a grading Riley, the owner of Glitter Records, will conduct a meticulous inspection, considering factors such as surface wear, sound quality, and visual presentation. By sticking to established industry standards, he will provide transparent and accurate assessment. This systematic approach ensures that every item is valued fairly, enhancing the overall integrity of our collection.

To maintain our commitment to quality, we will always use the lower grade between the cover and media for valuation. For items with multiple discs or tapes, the lowest grade among all will be applied. “7” and “12” single vinyl records with no cover or a generic cover are one exception to this rule; here, the price will be adjusted depending on the collectability of the cover.
