The text accompanying the release on Bandcamp states, "'Anxietika' is a compelling collection of gothic rock, post-punk, minimal wave, and dream pop tracks is a raw and deeply personal exploration of Jed's battle with generalised anxiety disorder.

Anxietika is a metaphor for the omnipresent, translucent goddess of fear which personifies his struggles. This concept is vividly brought to life in the title track, with lyrics such as, "no remorse, no relent, every soul, she infects, she looms!"

The album's hauntingly beautiful tracks, recorded between 2018 and 2024 in various home studios, offer a window into Jed's world of artistic catharsis.

"Whenever anxiety and depression were really screwing my life up, I always had music," Jed explains. "I went through constant panic attacks, walking out of service jobs, unemployment, social anxiety, troubled interpersonal relationships, and horrifically painful breakups. However, my psychologist always encouraged me to keep writing music, even when I was at my lowest. I believe that music truly saves. It saved me. Now in my thirties, I’ve learned how to manage my symptoms, and the best remedy has been constant creativity. Writing music about these situations, and then recording them and performing them on stage, turns a negative into a positive. It’s fantastic."

'Anxietika' is available on cassette, featuring artwork by RF Pangborn, a portrait by Jamie-Lee Tipo, and a heartfelt message from Jed on the inner sleeve.
