The text accomapnying the reelase on Bandcamp, "Slide Away is an album written and arranged specifically for an A and B side vinyl release, with vinyl production at Brisbane’s very own Suitcase Records! I’m really proud of this record it has all of my music influences and it’s been handcrafted from songs mostly new but a few old that made a home finally here. From title track Slide Away written in 2022 to the intimate and haunting Island Song, taken directly from a recording I made 10 years ago in a UK lounge room. The album hints towards my love of rock, soul, reggae, jazz and blues. Hope you enjoy this record. Recorded mostly at home, additional drums recorded at Megaphone Studios Brisbane by Logan Brewster. Mixed and mastered at Alchemix Brisbane by Marly Luske."
