Released in Australia with "Bridge Over Troubled Water", from the "Quiet Fire" LP as the nominal A side. "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face" had been released on Flack's debut album "First Take" in 1969, and became a number one hit three years after it was recorded, following its inclusion in Clint Eastwood's film, "Play Misty For Me". 

The record was manufactured and distributed by Kinney Music (Pty) Limited, which later became WEA Records Pty Limited. Kinney is not named on the labels.
