"The composition is attributed to somebody called Wilvir who is also responsible for the ―Descriptive Sketch on the other side titled ―The Soldier‘s Wedding which dramatizes a wedding at the Home Front. ―Wilvir is a mysterious phenomenon. It is not clear if the name is pseudonymous to one or more people in the entertainment industry. The name appears only in one more Regal publication released in December 1915 which was another descriptive ―war sketch titled ―Her Dream part 1 and 2 for each respective side of the phonograph disc. Wilvir may appear to have its equivalent in Afrikaans as part of the verb sentence construction ―Ek wil vir jou meaning ―I want you.
